An attic is the hardest room in the house to clear yourself: poor footing, no light, low headroom and a ladder between you and the ground. We bring the lighting, work on boards rather than ceiling joists, and bring it all down ourselves. Christmas decorations, old luggage, boxes of paper, furniture that went up in pieces, insulation that has been pulled out. If there is any sign of rodent activity we will tell you before we start, because that changes how it gets bagged.

We work on boards rather than trusting the joists, and if the structure will not take it we will say so instead of putting a foot through your ceiling.
What if there are droppings up there?

What decides the price
Nobody can quote this trade honestly without seeing what they are looking at — the same reason a mechanic will not price a repair over the phone. But there is no mystery to what is being priced.
Space, not weight
You are paying for room on the truck. A pile of empty boxes can cost more than the same-sized pile of concrete.
How far it has to be carried
At the curb is quicker than an upstairs back bedroom, and the price follows the work.
Stairs and tight turns
A sleeper sofa down a staircase is a different job from one on a driveway.
Anything needing special handling
Paint, chemicals, tires and some electronics cannot ride in a general load.
Flattening boxes and stacking things tightly genuinely reduces what you pay. It is the one bit of prep worth doing.
What we take
Almost anything two people can carry and that is legal to put in a truck. Furniture, appliances, mattresses, garage and attic clutter, yard and construction debris, office and retail fit-outs, whole-property clearances.
If you are not sure about something, send a photo and ask. It is a thirty-second answer.
What nobody can take
These are refused by every hauler, not just us — they are governed by disposal law and go to a household hazardous waste drop-off instead:
- Paint and solvents
- Motor oil and fuel
- Pesticides and chemicals
- Propane tanks
- Car batteries
- Asbestos
- Medical waste
- Tires (varies)
Pull these out of the pile before we arrive and everything else can go on the truck.
